That's not much by Hollywood standards, and it seemed especially low when people started comparing it with the alleged $14 million Henry Cavill made for 2013's Man of Steel.
That eight-figure number was later dispelled by BuzzFeed, and the outrage died down (slightly) when sites noted Gadot's payout was on par with other actors in multicontract superhero films. (Chris Evans, for example, also allegedly raked in an estimated $300,000 for Captain America.)
Even still, this whole ordeal shines light on the gender wage gap and serves as a friendly reminder to always make sure you're receiving equal pay. Up until this point, Gadot hasn't commented on the controversy, but TMZ found the actress in Beverly Hills and asked her about it. Her answer was brief, but interesting nonetheless.
